Verbascum blattaria 'Albiflorum' is a graceful, airy biennial or short-lived perennial with delicate white flowers and contrasting deep purple stamens, carried on slender, branching stems. Blooming over a long summer period, this elegant mullein self-seeds modestly, creating a naturalistic effect without becoming invasive. Its light, open structure adds movement and charm to borders and wildflower-style plantings.

Thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Tolerant of poor or chalky soils and drought once established. Little maintenance is needed beyond removing spent flower stems if you prefer to reduce self-seeding. Leave some seed heads to encourage natural regeneration and wildlife interest. May require staking in exposed positions.

Ideal for cottage gardens, wildlife borders, gravel gardens, and naturalistic schemes. Pairs beautifully with airy grasses, echinacea, and knautia. Its upright habit makes it excellent for weaving through mixed perennial plantings or softening hard edges in sunny spots.

Verbascum blattaria 'Albiflorum' is hardy to RHS Hardiness Zone H6 (down to -15Β°C to -20Β°C). It is excellent for pollinators, particularly bees. Generally safe for pets when planted in borders and not ingested. A resilient choice for dry, sunny UK gardens.
