Geum ‘Pink Petticoats’ is a charming and elegant perennial that brings a soft, romantic touch to borders and containers. It produces masses of semi-double, ruffled flowers in shades of warm rose-pink with peachy undertones, held aloft on slender, wiry stems above a compact mound of fresh green foliage. Flowering starts in late spring and continues well into summer, especially with regular deadheading. Its airy habit and cottage-garden appeal make it a versatile choice for many planting styles.

  • Height: 50–60cm (in flower)
  • Spread: 30–40cm

Best grown in full sun or light shade in moist but well-drained soil. Geums dislike winter wet, so ensure good drainage, especially in heavier soils. Water during dry spells in the first growing season to help the plant establish. Deadhead faded blooms to extend flowering and cut back flowering stems after the first flush to encourage fresh growth. Divide every few years to maintain health and vigour.

Geum ‘Pink Petticoats’ pairs beautifully with other soft perennials like Astrantia, Campanula, Nepeta, and Geranium ‘Rozanne’. It’s also lovely combined with feathery grasses or pastel-toned flowers in romantic or informal schemes. In containers, use it as a gentle focal point with silvery foliage or blush-toned companions for a fresh, cottagey feel.
