Heuchera ‘Silver Gum Drop’ is a striking compact perennial grown for its silvery, metallic foliage with pronounced dark veining. The leaves have a slightly glossy finish and subtle pink tints that intensify in cooler months, offering year-round visual interest. In summer, vivid hot-pink flower spikes emerge above the foliage, adding a burst of colour and attracting pollinators. This variety is neat, tidy, and eye-catching—perfect for adding a cool-toned shimmer to borders and containers.

  • Height: 20–25cm (with flower spikes to 35cm)
  • Spread: 30–40cm

Thrives in partial shade but tolerates full sun if soil remains moist. Prefers well-drained, fertile soil. Water regularly in the first season and during dry spells. Remove any tired leaves in early spring to refresh the plant, and divide every 3–4 years to rejuvenate and propagate. Mulch in early spring to conserve moisture and feed gently for the best foliage colour.

Perfect for brightening up shaded borders, underplanting shrubs, or adding texture to container displays. Combines beautifully with dark-leaved Heuchera, trailing Dichondra ‘Silver Falls’, or soft grasses like Festuca glauca. Ideal for cool-colour schemes or as an accent in mixed perennial borders.
