Salvia 'African Sky' is a graceful perennial known for its delicate spikes of soft blue flowers with a hint of mauve, blooming from midsummer to autumn. These elegant flowers sit above aromatic, green foliage, creating a light and airy presence in garden borders and containers. Loved by bees and butterflies, this salvia is a perfect addition to wildlife-friendly gardens. Plant Salvia 'African Sky' in full sun to light shade in well-drained soil. It thrives in warm conditions but will need regular watering during dry spells, especially in its first year. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering and maintain its neat appearance. Feed with a balanced fertilizer in spring to support healthy growth. in late winter or early spring before new growth appears, cut back the stems to ground level after flowering, and mulch to protect roots in colder climates.

Perfect for adding soft colour and vertical interest to mixed borders, African Sky pairs beautifully with ornamental grasses, echinacea, and coreopsis. Its light, airy blooms are ideal for creating a relaxed, cottage-garden feel or blending into contemporary planting schemes.
